Lavender essential oil (huile essentielle de lavande)

Lavender essential oil is steam-distilled from the flowering stems of fine lavender. In the Haute-Provence distilleries the cut lavender is first left to wilt, which the growers say gives an oil less rich in α-terpineol and so of better quality.

Linalool and linalyl acetate, the two molecules the house’s essay names, are the trade’s convention here: no analysis of the oil is filed, so no share or ratio is given.

Each field carries its evidence: open a chip for the source, the quoted words and the confidence. A field with nothing behind it says so and stays empty.
