Station 4 of 13 · Molecule · the record
2-phenylethyl alcohol (phenylethyl alcohol, PEA)
Phenylethyl alcohol, C8H10O (PubChem’s 2-phenylethanol), is the largest constituent of the rose absolutes that have been profiled, and one of the odorants of rose oil.
Its identity is PubChem’s, CID 6054. No share is given: the one figure in the sources is a single sample’s. Its odour threshold in water is 140 micrograms per kilogram, as measured by a food-chemistry institute’s panel.
The record
Each field carries its evidence: open a chip for the source, the quoted words and the confidence. A field with nothing behind it says so and stays empty.
