Rose otto (rose oil; Bulgarsko rozovo maslo, PGI)
Rose otto is the distilled rose. In the Valley of Roses it is picked from May, for 20 to 30 days, from 5 or 6 in the morning until about noon, and its oil is a protected name.
In the damask-rose oils that have been profiled, citronellol and geraniol are the largest components; β-damascenone is present in traces. No percentage is shown: the figures in the sources belong to single studies and single samples.
