Dhofar

Dhofar is the main region of frankincense production in Oman. The resin is gathered there by tapping the trunks and branches of Boswellia sacra.

No tapping season is given: the study on record says the yield depends on the time of year but names no months. The point on the globe is Wikidata’s point for the governorate.
